I am a real estate professional based in Crossville with a passion for helping people with their real estate needs throughout middle Tennessee. Born in Montreal, Quebec, I was raised near the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. I hold a Bachelors degree in Marketing Management with an emphasis in Philosophy & Physics and a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
After becoming a proud U.S. citizen in 1986, I embarked on a decade long journey that took me from Maine to Hawaii with multiple stops along the way in Colorado, Utah and California engaging in a variety of professions including cooking, managing and waiting tables in casual & fine dining restaurants to home building. In 1997, I stopped in Arizona where I earned a Masters degree while working part-time as a newspaper writer, an occasional home flipper and a restaurateur. In 2002 my real estate focus took over for about a decade when I moved to Idaho and embarked on a stint as a management consultant working for five-star hotels throughout the USA.
In 2019, I settled with my wife Sheila and our three children in middle Tennessee and relaunched my real estate career. We are located on the Cumberland Plateau, living in Crossville where we found the perfect blend of mild climate, independent living and natural beauty. Ou Family finds Tennesse to be ideal for our primary life pursuits as dedicated homeschoolers and homesteaders. When I'm not involved in real estate, you'll find me tending our homestead, hiking trails that criss cross the forest on our land or enjoying Church and Family time.
Professional Credentials
I am an Accredited Buyers Agent (ABR) and a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), certifications that endorse my expertise in representing buyers and sellers with the highest level of professionalism and care.
Less than 3% of all real estate agents have earned the ABR designation. This designation signifies excellence in buyer representation and requires agents to complete specific coursework and practical experience requirements.
The SRS designation is held by just about 1% of real estate agents nationwide. This small percentage highlights the commitment and expertise of agents who achieve the designation, ensuring that they are well-prepared to provide exceptional service to their clients
Why Real Estate?
My real estate career was inspired by an innate desire to help people. This calling became clear after a long-time restaurant client during my time as a fine dining waiter, knowing I was about to become a father, asked me about my future plans. That conversation led to my first job as a realtor, selling luxury homes in Scottsdale, AZ. Over the years, I have helped a diverse range of clients including upmarket sellers & buyers, commercial investors, land & lots specialists, a couple luxury home developers, first home buyers and even a multifamily property investor.
What drives me is not only a passion for serving others but also a genuine love for the real estate industry and all its complexities. I thrive on staying curious and adaptive while continually evolving right along with the market trends here in Tennessee.
