Thanks for taking a minute to read my profile. My mother used to describe things like this as a "Yea me!" page. I guess that's right. So here goes.
I grew up as an Air Force dependent, and like most other kids of that era, lived all over the country. By the time I graduated from high school, I had attended schools in 7 different states and 1 foreign country. I attended college in Virginia and received a bachelor's degree in history, attended graduate school at East Texas State University and earned a masters degree in education. Then I began a career as a high school basketball coach. That's what I did for 31 years: taught history, English, government and economics and was able to spend almost every day in the gym, coaching high school athletes. I have managed to have 4 children, who daily are a source of pride for me. Kristopher, the oldest, is an Major in the US Army. Kris and his wife Julie, who besides being "super mom" is an engineer. They have Zane and Vivian, who are double handfuls. Kathryn, the artistic one, works in Los Angeles for an architectural firm. When not working, she involves herself in an assortment of charitable activities. Kort, the 6th grader, and Abby, the 4th grader, are students at Wall ISD. They love school, basketball and tennis, not necessarily in that order.
In 2003, my wife and decided we didn't want to move anymore. We love San Angelo and wanted to rear Kort and Abby here. I have been in many places, but this is the best. San Angelo is a big small town. So I got off the school bus and tried my hand at this. In many respects, it has been a great change. I get the chance to meet lots of people from all parts of the country. I also get to assist people with making one of the biggest financial committments of their lives. It is a great responsibility and a great challenge. But I have been fortunate enough to be successful. In this business, one measures success in closed transactions. Since 2004, my first full year in real estate, I have averaged over 50 sales a year, and have sold over 40 million dollars worth of real estate.
What do I do when I am not working? I play golf and chase my kids. I am just a average guy who loves basketball, golf, my wife and kids and my job. ?The real rock in the Alexander organization is my wife Darla who works for San Angelo Independent School District as an Instructional Specialist and is about to get her administrative certification. I constantly work to find ways to improve and do a better job for my clients. So that's me. I hope to hear from you soon.
