Roger began his real estate career in 1979 under the mentorship of Pat Zaby, with Zaby/Smith Realtors, in the Lake Highlands, White Rock Lake and M Street districts of Dallas. Roger was named Rookie of the Year; however, a major recession the following year forced him to return to the corporate world. Even then, he still followed real estate with a desire to return sometime in the future.
Over the next two decades in corporate America, Roger honed his skills in management, marketing, sales, industrial and residential security, project management, market research, business development, negotiations and contractual law. He also prosecuted and defended cases for a Fortune 500 company in small claims court while also gaining extensive knowledge regarding easements and right-of-ways. Combined with a BS degree in finance with a minor in accounting, Roger had all the tools needed to make a successful return to real estate in 2002 with RE/MAX.
In just 3 years, Roger reached the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame status of over 35 million dollars in sales, a phenomenal achievement that usually takes 10 or more years for most agents. In 2010, Roger reached another milestone with RE/MAX International, winning the Lifetime Achievement award, marking over 100 million dollars in real estate sales in just 8 years!
In 2006, 2008, 2011, 2017, 2019 & 2022, Roger received the distinguished award as D Magazines Best Realtors in the DFW Area. For twelve straight years (2011-2023), Roger has been named by Texas Monthly Magazine as a Five-Star Award Best Real Estate Agent in Texas. Out of over 53,000 agents in the North Texas Region, only 623 agents (~1%) received this award in 2023 and only 27 agents have received it 12 years in a row! Currently, he has successfully closed over 850 transactions and over 230 million dollars in sales in 21 years as a broker.
As a native Dallasite, Roger has worked and lived in almost every area of the DFW Metroplex, so he can direct his clients to the areas that are most suitable to their lifestyles. Experience in residential, land, commercial and investment properties allows clients to maximize their investments, regardless of what type of property interests them. Roger currently serves as the Real Estate Committee Chairman for the Prosper Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) and is very active in both acquiring and selling properties for the Town of Prosper for commercial development.
Roger has been involved in many community organizations including his previous position of Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Prosper Economic Development Corporation, Prosper Downtown Development Committee, Prosper Charter Review Committee, Prosper Rotary Club, Board of Directors for the Prosper Scholarship Program, Coppell ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors, President of the CHS Football Booster Board, President of Coppell Youth Football Association and as a youth sports coach and administrator for many years.

Roger is married to Kathy, a retired teacher. They have a son, Chad, who is also a licensed real estate agent, and a daughter, Michelle, who is a doctor in clinical psychology in Plano. Michelle and her husband, Kyle, have two sons, ages 7 & 5 and twin, 3-year-old girls. Roger & Kathy share a love for animals and they have a rescue dog, Baylee. Roger is an avid golfer, bodybuilder and loves to travel.
