She and her husband are also Benefactors of the Texas Ranger Foundation.
Dara lives in Austin with her husband, actor/producer Todd Allen, and their youngest daughter, Shelby. Older daughters, Avery Honigblum and Mackenzie Allen, respectively, live nearby in Alamo Heights and in Austin. Daras vast knowledge of schools is accredited to family and friends from Eanes ISD, AISD, Trinity Episcopal, St. Gabriels, St. Michaels Academy, Marymount, The University of Texas and USC.
