Patty Couto knows what its like to arrive in a new city and need a place to live. As the child of business executives, she moved between Asia, Mexico, Brazil, Texas and Northern Virginia before attending The College of William & Mary and settling back here in 2011.
That well-traveled upbringing gives her a keen ability to empathize with both buyers and sellers who are transitioning from one place to anotherand to advise them on what they should be thinking about as they prepare for the move. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, shes comfortable working with clients who come from various backgrounds.
Patty lives in Rosslyn, Arlingtons fast-growing urban enclave just across the river from downtown DC. She keeps a close watch on new condo development around the region as a member of her buildings community development committee, and from that perspective, shes uniquely positioned to help her clients buy and sell condominium properties in addition to single-family homes.
Patty joined Compass in 2018 after four successful years on a top-producing team in Northern Virginia. Prior to real estate, she worked in the finance department of Revolution, a DC-based venture-capital firm in downtown Washington.
