Nokesville is a small rural village located in Prince William County, Virginia, about 35 miles west of Washington, D.C. The village is surrounded by farmland, and it has a population of around 1,500 people. The village of Nokesville is named after its founder, Colonel William Nokes, and it was established in the mid-1800s. Today, Nokesville is known for its annual Nokesville Day festival, which features live music, food vendors, and carnival games. It's also home to the Nokesville School, a historic one-room schoolhouse that dates back to the late 1800s and is now a museum.
