Born and raised in Danville and Pittsylvania County, I became a Realtor twelve years ago, after my children graduated from college. Up until that time, my children were the primary focus of my and my husbands lives. You see, they were student athletes and my husband and I were fortunate enough, even though we had full time jobs, to travel all over the south eastern US to watch our girls play volleyball and softball with Averett University. After the girls graduated, I decided it was time for me to do something for myself that I had always wanted to do, and that was to get my real estate license. Boy, was it a challenge to go back to school after so many years, but I loved going to class, meeting new people, and stretching my brain again. I graduated from my class and passed my state boards in August of 2007, and began selling real estate in September of that year. Since that time, I have again attended classes to get my Graduate Realtor Institute designation. I also completed a leadership program through my local Chamber of Commerce. I gained so much knowledge about myself and about Danville and Pittsylvania County that I have used to benefit my clients in their real estate transactions. I know this area well. I am aware of all the changes and shifts in the real estate market, the changes in the direction the local economy is taking, and the physical changes that the area is going through that may impact families residing in the area. I pride myself on being well informed on the housing supply in every target price range, and neighborhood so I can help you, the buyer, find the perfect home.
