1. Finley, Washington was founded in 1885 and initially named "Finn's Landing" after the first settlers in the area, the Finn family.

2. The town was officially incorporated in 1911 and renamed Finley in honor of Charles Finley, a local politician.

3. Finley is located in the heart of the fertile Willapa Valley and is known for its rich agricultural heritage.

4. The town is home to a number of historic sites, including the Finley United Methodist Church (built in 1910), the Historic Willapa Valley Grange Hall (built in 1927), and the Finley Cemetery (dating back to 1889).

5. In addition, Finley is home to a number of annual events, such as the Annual Finley Days Festival, held every July since 1974, and the Willapa Valley Bluegrass Festival held every August since 1996.
