2. The earliest known settler of Fobes Hill was Charles Fobes, who arrived in 1875.
3. In 1887, the Fobes Hill post office was established.
4. In 1889, Charles Fobes donated land for a public school, which operated until 1962.
5. From 1925-1936, the Fobes Hill general store served as the social center of the community, providing postal services and serving as a gathering place for locals and travelers alike.
6. The area was also home to several logging operations throughout the early 1900s.
7. In 1952, the Fobes Hill Dam was built as part of the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project, providing electricity to surrounding areas.
8. In 2013, a fire destroyed a home in Fobes Hill, prompting a response from multiple fire departments and local volunteers.
