The small town of Long Beach, Washington is home to the World Kite Museum and Hall of Fame, which celebrates the history of kite flying. It was founded in 1991, and has more than 1,000 kites from around the world on display. The museum also hosts an annual kite festival every August, which is one of the largest in the world, and draws kite flyers from all over the globe.
