White Swan is an unincorporated community located in Yakima County, Washington. The community is situated on the Yakama Nation Indian Reservation, and is a census-designated place (CDP). White Swan was originally settled in the late 1800s by members of the Yakama Nation as a seasonal fishing village. In 1900, the first school was built in White Swan, and in 1924, the first post office opened. In recent years, White Swan has seen an influx of new residents due to its proximity to the Yakama Nation Cultural Center, which opened in 2000. White Swan is also home to several businesses, including a gas station, convenience store and restaurant.
