1. The first settler of the area that is now Everson was George Everson, who arrived in 1883.
2. The first post office in the area was established in 1888 and named after George Everson.
3. In 1911, the Great Northern Railway built a line from Sumas to Everson, which allowed for settlement of the area to increase significantly.
4. In 1915, the Everson Union High School was established, making it one of the oldest high schools in Whatcom County.
5. In 1927, Everson was officially incorporated as a village, with a population of around 400 people.
6. In 1938, the Everson Co-operative Creamery was established, producing some of the finest butter and cheese in the region.
7. In 1984, Everson celebrated its Centennial with a parade, fireworks display, music festival and other community events.
8. In 2018, the Everson Museum of Art opened its doors to the public, becoming one of the few art museums in rural Washington state.
