Ben Bouesso, (BWAY-so) is originally from Gabon, a French-speaking country located in central West Africa. Ben moved to Ashland, WI in 2018 to attend school at Northland College. He is fluent in French, English, several African dialects and enjoys learning Spanish in his free time.
Coming from Central West Africa to Northern Wisconsin was quite a drastic change for Ben. Between long winters with below-zero temperatures, he could always rely on the warm hearts and hospitality of the people that make up this community. Although he is far away from his family, Ashland feels like home.
With the strike of Covid-19, Ben's college journey was temporarily interrupted and his life plans were rerouted. Ben started working as a real estate assistant to gain practical experience in the industry in this area. Ben has always been involved in entrepreneurship (through school and prior work experience) and found that real estate gives him an outlet to further explore that interest.
In 2021, Ben became a recipient of the Partnership for Success awarded by the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) Cultural Diversity in Housing Committee and became a licensed Realtor in April 2022. Becoming a Realtor is the channel through which Ben chooses to give back to this community.
