1. Princeton is the oldest settlement in Green Lake County, founded in 1846.
2. The community was originally named "Mud Lake" because of the wet soil conditions before settlers arrived.
3. The first schoolhouse in the area was built in 1853 and was located on what is now the corner of Wisconsin Street and West Street.
4. The village of Princeton was officially incorporated in 1878.
5. The historic St. Paul's Catholic Church, built in 1895, is still a prominent feature of the village today.
