Wisconsin State Motto: Forward
Front of the US quarter dollar coin   Wisconsin State Quarter

The Wisconsin state quarter was released in 2004 as part of the 50 State Quarters Program. It was designed by Robert Evans and features an image of a cow, a round of cheese, and an ear of corn representing Wisconsin's agricultural heritage. The state motto, "Forward," is also included on the quarter. The flags of Wisconsin and the United States are featured in the design. The symbols represent Wisconsin's agricultural and industrial heritage, with the cow representing the state's dairy industry, the cheese representing Wisconsin's cheese production, and the corn representing Wisconsin's large agricultural industry.

The second Wisconsin State Quarter

The Wisconsin National Park quarter, released in 2020, is part of the United States Mint's "America the Beautiful Quarters" program. The program was launched in 2010 to honor 56 different national parks and other sites of national interest. Each coin in the program features a reverse design depicting a national park or site in a state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

The Wisconsin National Park Quarter features a design of Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The front of the coin features a portrait of George Washington, while the reverse features an image of the sea caves at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The inscriptions "Apostle Islands," "Wisconsin," "2020," and "E Pluribus Unum" are also featured on the reverse.

The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, located in northern Wisconsin, is composed of 21 islands and 12 miles of mainland coast along Lake Superior. The islands are known for their sandstone sea caves, a unique geological feature along the lake's shore. The sea caves, which were carved out by waves from Lake Superior, are a popular tourist destination and are said to be the most visited attraction in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin National Park Quarter is a symbol of the beauty and natural wonders of Wisconsin. It represents the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and the unique sea caves that make the area so special. It is also a reminder of the importance of preserving natural areas for future generations to enjoy.
