According to the 2019 U.S. Census estimates, the population of Campbell County is 44,985, making it the fifth most populous county in Wyoming. The population is spread across an area of 4,945 square miles, giving the county a population density of only 9 people per square mile.
The racial makeup of Campbell County is roughly 91.7% White non-Hispanic, 2.2% Hispanic or Latino, 1.6% American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.4% Asian, 0.1% Black or African American, 0.3% Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, and 4.7% from two or more races.
