In 1990, Mark embarked on his real estate career, and began a 15-year span of new construction design and sales in 1991 as well as helping clients in the resale market. Despite hitting record numbers and achieving top agent status at the big companies, he founded Homes by Design Realty in 2002, to break free from the big broker business model and dual agency restrictions.
Homes by Design Realty launched a new business model in 2009, offering full service at lower commission rates. With the addition of Alexandra Nelson-Knuth and Tyler Nelson in 2015, we rebranded as Nelson Family Realty. Since then, we have expanded our programs, our marketing efforts and our client base, and we know of no other real estate company in the Twin Cities that can do more for you for these rates!
