Doug started his real estate career in Columbus, Ohio in 1993 with HER Realtors focusing on residential real estate. In 1997, his focus shifted to commercial and investment real estate and in 2000, expanded his practice to include land development and site selection.

Since the start of his career, Doug has been involved in the sale of close to $200,000,000 of real estate transactions. Doug practices in the areas of commercial, investment, development and real estate opportunities, including distressed assets.

Doug is a licensed commercial real estate agent whose focus is client-centered in that he works to understand his clients needs and goals rather than merely listing and selling property. He takes the time to get to know his clients and understand their experience in real estate, determine their level of knowledge, skill, resources and available time prior to helping clients determine whether to look for active or passive investment opportunities.

Dougs experience crosses all spectrums of real estate - from residential and condominiums to commercial real estate, investments, multi-family apartments/complexes, development land, site planning, entitlements and underperforming assets.

At this time, his business focuses in the specific areas of commercial real estate, real estate investments, development, redevelopment, tax deferred exchanges, underperforming/Receiver/REO assets, and asset valuation. Doug presents real estate opportunities tailored to match the needs of his clients, investors, and developers looking at such items as risk, reward, valuation, return on equity, velocity of money and deal terms. Doug finds the right properties and deal opportunities for his clients based on their abilities, resources, time and desired return. He conducts his business practice taking on a role more like that of a commercial real estate advisor who counsels based on financial abilities, risk factors involved and rate of return desired.

When it comes to selling and leasing commercial property, Doug obtains all the facts, analyzes and processes all the information to determine the best value, lease rates, pricing and value and he uses his resources obtain the best terms for his client. He targets his marketing efforts to commercial real estate brokers and agent, investors, owner-users and viable tenants. Doug uses the best technologies available and includes his listings in all possible commercial databases and does send out mass e-mails on a regular basis to the commercial real estate community in order to properly market his listings; and to locate viable properties, investment and development opportunities for his clients.

Dougs primary client base primarily consists of several dozen accredited investors and developers. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a BSBA in marketing and an emphasis is finance and real estate, Doug has resided in German Village, a suburb of downtown Columbus, Ohio since 1994. Being a Columbus native having graduated from Bexley High School, Doug is very familiar with the Greater Columbus Metropolitan Market area.

Doug began his real estate experience in the residential side of the business enabling clients to purchase and sell homes, make residential investments ranging from single family homes, multi-family investments and complexes and then began to focus more in the areas of commercial real estate in the mid-to-late 1990s. Doug has represented clients in the acquisition and sale of retail strip centers, single tenant triple net investments, sale-leasebacks, development sites for retail, condominium, single family, and mixed use, and other capitalized investment opportunities, including office and industrial buildings and facilities and development sites. In 2000, he was invited to work with land acquisition departments of local home builders/developers. A large part of his practice now involves site location work and analysis for clients seeking viable development sites suitable for single family, condominiums, apartments, retail, office and mixed use development. He also focuses on sites suitable for redevelopment such as office towers, industrial condo loft conversions and mixed uses.

Dougs residential background helped prepare him for commercial real estate as he understands the personal side of the business in servicing clients needs. His strong work ethic helps him provide superior service to his clients.
