Joanie Haggerty is one of the few you will meet that has lived in Basalt for over 35 years and for over 30 of those years she has been selling real estate. Joanie loves the small town atmosphere and strong sense of community Basalt, which is an important part of the lifestyle she treasures. She raised her two kids, Matthew and Annie Wells in Basalt so can advise on everything there is to know about Basalt from schools to community organizations and sports.

She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1977 and moved up to Aspen. There she moved into a small cabin in Ashcroft with no heat or running water where she became a true ski bum. She was one of the first female ski patrollers on Aspen Mountain, where she still loves to ski today.

Joanie is dedicated to helping people find their first home. The first-time homebuyer is my favorite, which is totally crazy because its the hardest job that pays the least. But its one way you can make a true difference in someones life. One thing she loves even more than Basalts small-town charm and tight-knit community are the people she gets to work with. Ive sold so many homes to my clients kids and to their parents. Often times, Ill be working with three generations in one family and thats what living in a small town is all about for me. Its just perfect.

What she brings to the table: In addition to years of experience and inside knowledge of all things Basalt, integrity is integral to Joanies business and her reputation. I try to work every deal to be honest and fair to all parties involved, period. I dont believe there is a winner and a loser.
