Background

Kim first came to Austin in 1986. Since that time, this town has held her heart. She feels that she is one of Austins biggest fans, and with her adventurous spirit, she is always searching out new ways to know more about her home city. Need a great restaurant, a cool place to listen to local music, a sweet dance spot, or the best wine shop in town? Kim knows just the spot!

Kim is a graduate of UT Austin with a BBA in Finance- GO HORNS! However, instead of heading to Wall Street as planned, she chose the path less traveled, venturing to Europe for 5 years. She began in London as an Executive Assistant in the City, and finished her European life as a ski instructor in Kitzbuhel, Austria. During her winters as a ski instructor, she built an amazing clientele, and some of her guests included Jordanian princesses, Sheiks, and Allen Behr the New York Times travel writer. Through her experiences in Austria, she learned to quickly build trust with her discerning clients as their guide, trainer, and friend.

After Kims return to the USA, she joined an upstart wine distribution business founded by her family, and from its humble beginnings, she built this company into the 3rd largest wine wholesale house in Alabama. Over the years, it took perseverance and grit to grow this business, but Kims entrepreneurial spirit never failed. Her years at the helm of this business helped her to develop strong negotiation and financial skills, and allowed her to build life-long relationships with her employees, suppliers and customers. As a result of being involved in this industry, she has a real love for wine and food.

Through her years in business in Alabama, Kims heart and mind were still in Austin, and in 2007, she began investing in real estate in Central Austin. Her grandparents and parents fixed & flipped as well as held and managed rental properties for years, so her foray into investing was natural for her.

In her free time here in Austin, Kim loves to swing dance and ride horses, snow ski (elsewhere, of course) and continue her wine education. She is also a huge traveler, and has visited more than 40 countries. Her Austin favorites? She loves to kayak Lady Bird Lake, run the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and discover all the hottest restaurants in town. She also loves road trips, wandering through the Hill Country. She stays abreast of whats happening in town, and does her best to experience everything Austin has to offer.
