I arrived in Plumas County from the Bay Area in 1998 and started practicing real estate in early 1999. Previous to that I operated a successful small landscape contracting and maintenance business serving Contra Costa County and the surrounding areas. We decided to leave our happy home in Walnut Creek and relocate to a quieter and more scenic area which we found in Plumas County.
My initial introduction to real estate began with United Country Golden Feather Realty in Graeagle Ca. which later was sold to Coldwell Banker Kehr/OBrien Real Estate as they expanded their sales and listing coverage into eastern Plumas County. During the real estate downturn in 2007 I accepted a position with the Department of Homeland Security and worked both real estate and federal employment simultaneously for an eight year period. In 2015 I left my position with the federal government and decided to return to real estate which I really enjoy. I earned my Brokers license and took the position of exclusive Broker at Grizzly Ranch, a high end resort/golf gated community located just outside of Portola, California.
My work at Grizzly Ranch was focused on putting this beautiful gated community back on the map as a viable option for investors, second home owners. After two years of helping to launch several new real estate programs, I decided to come full circle and return to practicing real estate with my original well-known and respected firm at Coldwell Banker Chandler Real Estate, with my original broker Tim OBrien. Today, I work with colleagues in the Portola Office of Coldwell Banker and I am enjoying renewing old friendships with real estate associates and clients.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors to appreciate the spectacular mountains, rivers, and lakes right here in my own backyard. Family outings for hiking the scenic trails in the area, camping and kayaking in the many lakes are frequent and enjoyed by all. A round of golf or two on any of the local high sierra courses is mandatory and in the winter snow-shoeing around scenic Lake Davis to see the bald eagles and other wildlife makes for a very active day.
After experiencing this area since 98 I have learned why Plumas County has become such an attractive area to visit and to set down roots and that experience is what I will share with you when you are looking for a property that fits your current and future needs.
