I have called Western North Carolina home since 2008, when my family and I relocated from Texas. At the time I was with a software company in Dallas, working with team members all over the world. As my teams were remote, I had the luxury of choosing anywhere in the USA to live.
With quality of life, natural beauty, and a seasonal outdoor lifestyle as high priorities, my wife and I decided on Burnsville NC in Yancey County, a less densely populated, more rural mountain environment, yet still only 35 minutes from the amazing opportunities, dining, art, music and culture of Asheville.
Now 13 years later, having raised three children in the mountains of Western North Carolina and watched the area change yet not lose any of its appeal, I am passionate about helping those who wish to relocate to or within Asheville, or the outlying mountain communities that offer a change of pace not always available so close to such a vibrant city.
