Max joined RE/MAX Realty Associates in 2008 and enjoys working with both buyers and sellers. Max has earned his GRI (Graduate Realtor) designation and also holds a CDPE (Certified Distressed Property) designation. Max is a Past-President of the Champaign County Association of Realtors and serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Realtors. Max is also a licensed real estate instructor and regularly teaches pre-licensing classes. Max and his family moved to Mahomet in 1991. He grew up in south-western Michigan and is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais IL. Max is President of the Mahomet-Seymour Board of Education. He was appointed to the Mahomet-Seymour Board of Education I n 2007 and was re-elected to the Board of Education in 2009, 2013, and 2017. He has attended various IASB workshops over the past four years and has earned the IASB Leadershop Award. Max enjoys music and high school/college athletics. Max has been very active with the M-S Athletic Booster Club. He is involved at The Hope Community Church in Urbana and has been a member of their Board of Directors since 1992. Max has been married to his wife, Ellen, for 40 years. Ellen is an RN/specialist at Advocate BroMenn Medial Center in Normal IL. The McCombs have one son, Jon who is an MSHS graduate. Jon and his wife Nicole live in St Peters Mo where they both teach in local school districts.
