My wife and I had been having a hard time finding a real estate agent that we liked working with. The first one we got was only part time and referred us to another agent. We had a good list of homes we wanted to look at so it may have been too much for them. The new agent did show us a home reluctantly because even though I told him we have a bank we are working with he didn't do much for us but did show us one house. We didn't like his attitude so I went to the Dave Ramsey website to find a real estate agent. I had done this several years ago when I bought a house in the past and found a good agent there. I did this again and found Skender-Newton Realty. They contacted me quickly and wanted to work with us. I hesitated a bit even though I wanted to move quickly in order to wait and see what they would do. They satisfied my concerns and continue to answer every question quickly. They showed me a house right away even though I didn't have a preapproval in writing, I told them the bank is finishing up some details and I should have it soon. They showed us a house that same day. The preapproval notice came in shortly after that on the same day. I made an offer on the property, it was accepted by the present owner and we are moving forward to buy the home. This real estate company is phenomenal and helping us every step of the way. We bought a house back in 2018 through SNR and we decided to return to them because they did so well by us the first time. Our experience with Missy Haney and Skender-Newton Reality was memorable and remarkable.
We had been looking for a second home for a long time and spoke to many real estate agents. When the first couple of homes were not a right fit for us they assured us that they wanted to work with us and could find the correct home for our needs. This happened at least eight times and we never heard from any of them again. Even when we found something and contacted them for assistance; they did not respond.
Ms. Haney was totally different. She was persistent in aiding us in our search, but not pushy. Also, she was not critical of our budget since this was a second home. I am positive that we received the same or greater attention as a client with an unlimited budget.
She constantly suggested homes for consideration and was available for numerous showings. She clearly understood our wishes and desired part of Cookeville. If we found a house, she was open about mentioning any issues that might not meet our needs. We received the most professional experience with buying our newest home for our first retirement. We contacted Skender-Newton Realty to act as our agent for the purchase in Gainsboro, Tennessee. We were living in Okinawa, Japan (a 14 hour time difference). We were set up with Brandi as our personal relator she and the team at SNR made the process as easy as possible, it felt like we were there purchasing the home, from all the phone calls and email to our first walk through on Facetime Brandi made sure we were taken care of.
The time difference was difficult but Brandi was available at any time to answer and questions or concerns we had. She was even taking care of things when she was supposed to be on vacation.
When we arrived in Tennessee after a 23 hour plane ride, Brandi made sure we were driven to the new house so we could do a final walk through before the closing of the house. She is professional and courteous to her clients, sure truly cares about them.
