Ive used Matt twice now. Once to purchase and once to sell. Hes by far the most knowledge realtor Ive ever worked with before. He keeps thing real and honest (wish is so important) stays in communication and genuinely puts as much effort into your purchase/sale as he would his own personal property. He was never too busy or unresponsive for me. Im high strung and emotional and his expertise and commitment to my process really helped keep me ground through deal. Working with Matt and his counterpart, Jordan, was wonderful. Matt has a teacher's heart and wanted to make sure that we were comfortable at every part in the process. This was especially helpful in understanding lengthy contracts. Jordan made sure that we saw any properties we had interest in in a timely manor and went out of her way multiple times to get us extra information from listing agents. They did not pressure us during any part of the process but served to provide us with as much information as possible to make our decisions easier. I was referred to Matt by a family member who bought a home in the 500k price range. My budget was much lower than that, so I was a bit hesitant. Matt responded, in person, within 48 hours. He handed my needs to his realtor, Jordan Rush. She was amazing!!!! I know they did not make a great commision working with me, but acted as if they did. My questions were always quickly answered (mostly within hours) and whenever I found a property I was interested in, Jordan was always available to show it to me. I purchased a condo through them that I am happy with and the deal ended with them telling me if I needed any referrals for contractors of any kind, to let them know and they would refer me to ones that they depend on. For the sale of my condo, I had already moved across the country, but Matt was able to coordinate with the tenant in place, myself, and potential buyers to prepare the unit to be listed, arrange showings, and eventually negotiate a move-out date between the tenant and buyer. Matt was extremely accessible and helpful throughout the process, always available to answer questions or provide feedback and insight.

I have had the pleasure of working with Matt Claxton three times in the last four years; twice representing me as a buyer and once as a listing agent. I can't say enough good things about Matt. I wanted an agent with a strong knowledge of Dilworth/Myers Park and the surrounding areas, as well as someone who was well-versed in the condo market. Matt doesn't disappoint in either regard. Buying or selling can be a stressful time (in addition to being exciting!), so having an agent such as Matt was a great counter-balance. n nThis review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Jordan Rush, who works with Matt as a buyer's agent. Jordan was always prompt, pleasant, and she also grasped early on the things that were important to me.
