Last Fall we contracted with a realtor in Dover to sell our forever home. Unfortunately our home did not sell. As our contract neared expiration, our hair stylist recommended Mary Locy with Cutler Real Estate in North Canton. In his words Mary was a go getter. n nAnother day during a dental appointment, the office manager upon hearing we had our home for sale, suggested we contact Mary Locy. Mary Locy and her assistant Heather Kornick exceeded our expectations, so much so that we asked Mary Locy to sell our home AND locate and purchase our next. Mary Locy is the most competent Connected realtor we have ever known: n n~ Phone, email or text, Mary and Heather are proficient with all and always responsive. One day in Portage County, additional info was needed before making an offer to purchase. Via smart phone, Mary asked Heather to compile a list of comparable properties in the area with dollar figures. Within minutes we had the information we needed - great customer service! n nMary sold our forever home and went above and beyond in helping us locate/purchase our next. Mary made herself available to us weekly, greeting us with a list of the properties we would visit that day and the time allotted for each stop. Mary was organized - the first home was the farthest away and each home there after took us back in the direction of home. Mary never complaining would accompany us for a few hours or an entire day viewing one home after another until we found just what we wanted. n nMary Locy is a kind human being and her positive attitude and smile are addictive. As the seller I am still not satisfied in the Radon Mitigation System that we had to pay for. It was not on the accepted purchase agreement that it was going to be performed at the time of the General Home Inspection. The day of the home inspection is when we found out that it was being performed. When I questioned this the day of the inspection I was told that we did not need an addendum to be signed as it might throw up a red flag to the buyer if we stopped the inspection for the addendum. We felt that the home inspector had talked the buyer into this extra test and the agent indicated that she would speak to her office manager after closing on this.There was never an addendum prepared and signed between the buyer and seller as to whom was to handle this in the event there was a Radon issue. Once the inspection was done and report was issued there of course was a Radon issue and the buyer was adament that the mitigation system be installed or they would walk from the transaction. So of course the seller had not choice but to pay the n$ 995.00 to install the mitigation system or loose the transaction and or pay to have installed for the next buyer. There still was never an addendum added nor signed by the buyer and seller. Neither buyer or seller agent attempted to provide an addendum on this. If this purchase agreement had been filled out properly by the buyers agent the seller would have known that it was going to be a part of the inspection and could have allowed for the extra expense from their proceeds. We feel that neither agent truly did there jobs to the fullest. We would ask that that the buyer and seller agent split the cost of this system and refund the seller since the purchase agreement was not properly executed.
