Required repairs were not made prior to closing on the home even though falsified receipts were sent to my USDA mortgage provider by McCaughan Realty. New issues were also found including garbage disposal not working, stove burner not working properly, leaking shower, and non-draining sink, etc which were not in that condition at time of inspection. The home was not cleaned, the yard was not freshly mowed, and I received no manuals or paperwork for appliances and security system even though those are listed as requirements in McCaughan Realtys contract of sale. I contacted Sara McCaughan in hopes of at least getting an apology for my purchase not being handled properly. Instead I was met with a pointed finger that I am to blame.

Yes, its my fault that REQUIRED repairs were not repaired before closing, its my fault the house wasnt cleaned and the yard wasnt mowed, its my fault I dont know how to operate the security system because I wasnt given the manuals. Its my fault that I will have to sell the home Ive waited for for over 8 years because I cannot afford the cost of repairs that were supposedly repaired by the seller, the cost of repairs of new issues, and the cost of the house payment.

TAKE MY ADVICE:
DONT TAKE ANYONES WORD THAT REPAIRS ARE MADE, EVEN WHEN DOCUMENTATION IS GIVEN.
DONT EVER USE A DUAL DUTY REALTOR, THEY ARE NOT A NEUTRAL PARTY.
DONT EXPECT TO BE SPOKEN TO AND TREATED WITH RESPECT BY MCCAUGHAN REALTY AFTER THE CLOSING ON THE HOME. THEY ARE DONE DEALING WITH YOU ONCE THEY HAVE THEIR MONEY.
