Shannon and I met almost a year ago when I was in the area. I returned to Chico CA where I had lived for 30+ years thinking that I might like to return to my home state. We kept in close touch during the intervening time, watching the homes come and go as I went from thinking about it to selling my house to moving to Waterville. I had been looking in Perrysburg and Maumee. Shannon mentioned Waterville to which I expanded my search. There I found a historic house in the downtown area. We toured it via Zoom. I looked up Waterville online, decided I liked it and based on her judgement, made an offer which was accepted. I love the house and the town. It truly is a perfect fit for me.

As first time homebuyers, we had so many questions and we had received so much conflicting information. Shannon makes herself available after hours, on weekends, and even on holidays. Communication is vital for showings, questions, and updates. We have heard so many horror stories about terrible home-buying experiences. There is no doubt in my mind that Shannon single handedly prevented our experience from being a disaster.
In this purchase specifically, so many issues couldve impeded us, but Shannon was there at every potential wrench in the plan to reduce our stress levels and help us figure out a solution. For example, we spoke to 4 different lenders, who made us jump through a thousand senseless hoops, before Shannon recommended the lender, who ultimately got us to the closing in 3 weeks. Another example, she warned us not to buy 4 of the homes we saw. One had severe mold. Another house had serious foundation flaws. Another one had signs of termite damage that we never wouldve noticed. She helped us save time/energy by being open and honest about what she was seeing during the showings. Her thoughts about the different houses are valuable.
Once we found a home, we encountered another hiccup when the title company gave us incorrect information about a specific Ohio law. Shannon had the experience and contacts to consult to rectify the situation in a matter of days.
There are so many stressful situations that could arise when buying a home. Your agent should not be a contributing stressor. Also, if a rare situation presents itself and Shannon doesnt know how to help, she has amazing contacts. She will not hesitate to dig for the answers you need.

Overall Shannon is an amazing agent! She's knowledgeable. If I had a question she knew the answer and would explain, I didn't always understand but she'd try to explain so I understood. If she didn't know the answer she'd find it and get back to me about it. Working with Shannon there's no doubt that she's done this for awhile. She's there for you from beginning to end, she doesn't leave you hanging or second guessing. Through my process of buying a house I attempted 2 now she never shied down from helping me. She would start helping again as if i didn't stop for almost a year. In my process I had another realtor try to help as well and they just made me unsure of many things. We would finish a viewing and leave me with many questions that they just didn't know the answers to like year house was built, or like roof replacement, if the house has AC or not, etc. Just made me think that they didn't read up on it before the time of appointment. I tried 3 times with this person and just thought "Shannon has always shown me that she knows what she's doing and talking about.. I have to get ahold of her." If anything needed done in this process like certain people to get ahold of she'd ask if I had anybody while she already had a list ready to help take care of it.
