We couldn't ask for a better partner in helping us find our first home. Foremost, David is responsive and quick. We've bought & sold real estate on six occasions in three countries over the past 14 years - so we feel reasonably experienced with the process (and how that process differs in different countries) and confident in what we're looking for house-wise at any given point. David literally responded within minutes of our inquiring about the first property we looked at; followed up the next day in a professional, down-to-earth, friendly manner, and was quick to make arrangements and respond to requests via phone, email or text. He was always available; came across as trustworthy, reliable and no-fuss; make the entire process seem straightforward and stress-free; such that this was probably one of the easiest and smoothest transactions we've been involved with. It is worth being fussy about who you work with in buying or selling house, and David met our expectations. We paid more for the house than we would have liked - it can be tricky to pay attention to the heart/head argument with such a significant and personal purchase - but, David and the seller's agent did work together well to deliver a result such that both parties were happy. We would use David to buy or sell again. He has just the right personality for working in the industry alongside knowledge and experience. And, he's just a nice guy, too. When we decided to relocate to Providence from Pennsylvania, I called David Hasslinger of Residential Properties to see if he would help us find a house to buy. That was in April. As I write this in July, I am sitting in my new home on the East Side of Providence. Things happened fast! And they also happened smoothly due to David's experience, expertise and helpful, can-do attitude. He arranged appointments at all of the homes we wanted to see, told us about other homes having open houses, and spent time talking with us so he could understand what we wanted. David's help with the items of concern on the inspection report was invaluable and just what we needed, as we do not have extensive knowledge of the issues that an old house may have. David also has a good network of referrals for qualified professionals in finance, title work, contracting etc., which we found to be useful. Last but not least, David paid attention to the details and responded quickly to the questions we asked. nIn addition to the abovementioned help which you might expect but don't always get - from a realtor, David was an absolute pleasure to work with! To be brief: David busted some serious butt to get us our dream house. We were on an international vacation when the house we wanted came back on the market. We were intentionally unplugged and yet he managed to get ahold of us, negotiate for us, get documents to us, and help us to outbid three other offers. We met David when we were searching a home, by driving through a neighborhood and spotted a sign. 20 minutes later David was there. A welcome relief from what we had been through. We both loved the house and David. The sellers were not easy to deal with and several times we almost walked away, had it not been for the charm and responsiveness of David.
