This property had been in our family since 1965. It was a beloved summer home for my parents and us kids. With the passing of our father and failing health of mom, it has been unused for the last 5 years. The decision to sell was a necessity as the proceeds will help cover moms assisted living expenses. A friend recommended Jessica Spencer to help with selling. From the first phone call with her, it was obvious she knew what she was doing. Professional, knowledgeable and personable. We met at the property in lake county in mid June. Jessica handled everything for us. She had a crew come in and removed everything still usable, which was donated to charity and everything else was disposed of. She then had the house professionally cleaned. What a difference to see the house free of furniture and sparkling clean. Jessica warned us that the property market was slow due to high inventory in the area and to expect a long wait. The listing went active June 23rd, we received and accepted a strong offer on July 10th and closed on Aug 2nd. It took about 6 weeks from start to finish and we couldnt be more pleased. Our elderly Uncle owned a standard lot in Lake County that he originally planned to build on for retirement. He did retire but after 40 years, never built on the property. My experience is a first remote virtual/internet experience with Jessica to list my two lots in Lake County for sale. I sensed she was the right pick in my first call when she began describing features of the lots - such as how far the Konocti Casino/Lodge was from my Riveria Heights lot in Keysville to a completely different lot in the City of Clear Lake about 10 miles apart - when I asked whether she was familiar with my lots. I was impressed with the instant feedback she provided. Since I now live in San Diego - this experience was heightened when she called me with an offer almost instantly after she posted the for-sale sign. This was from a neighbor who had an adjacent lot that met his requirements. The technical execution with her company's escrow agent was also conducted remotely as well. That kept things easier with Jessica follow thru on questions I had at the time and finally signing some escrow documents with a public notary who came to my house. It was a pleasure to enjoy this virtual transaction compared to previous properties I have bought and sold in various states with their differing requirements such as wasting an afternoon meeting a lawyer in New Jersey for a house sale. Throughout the process, Jessica has been patient and professional with ready answers and knew what my question was going to be next. She's a great real estate agent and knows the business well.
