Room Real Estate was recommended to me by a friend. Jayson and Magdiel were invaluable selling our house in Boulder Creek. I chose Room Real Estate because of how prepared and knowledgeable Jayson and Magdiel are. From our first meeting they answered my questions and gave me great advice on the best way to prepare our home for market. Our property had four structures on ten acres with solar and a well. There were renters and a lot of deferred maintenance. Jayson and Magdiel had the connections with contractors to get all the work and inspections done quickly at reasonable costs. Anytime we had questions or concerns, they were available to help guide us. I wanted a short escrow because winter is near and if offers did not work out, I wanted to move on. It is incredible how hard Jayson and Magdiel worked and negotiated to keep all parties informed and the sale on track. When there were problems with inspections, they knew who to call to keep everything on schedule, even if it meant being flexible enough to try a new direction. It is a lot of work to sell a home. While Jayson was working with contractors and inspectors, Magdiel was keeping us current with all of the documentation and explaining what we were signing and why. I rarely write reviews but in a tough market, Jayson Madani and team sold my house in less than 2wks. In Santa Cruz many brokers are behind the times but Jaysons quality, drive professionalism and knowing exactly how contracts should read, translates to any aggressive market in any city. I work insane hours, had to let my first broker (who I got the house with) and lost a lot of time.
If you dont have a broker with a saavy, high quality, modern marketing team, including writers, photos, video and social media presence and floor plans, you are dead in the market these days. Jayson and team didnt waste any time and immediately recommended what I should spend $ on and what I shouldnt and got his team to get it all done as early as possible. We viewed a few homes this company had listed for sale in Boulder creek area. They were slow to respond to my Realtor for request to view multiple homes they had on the market. After multiple attempts we finally got ahold of them and were able to view the listings. The first one we viewed, we were caught off guard when they didnt notify us prior to the showing, that there was an elderly man in one of the bedrooms in bed, who seemed to be non responsive and we could hear just the faint death gurgle coming from the room. We all were more concerned about the gentleman, then we were about finishing the viewing. With a bright pink posted do not Resuscitation order on the refrigerator. I mean its hard to miss. We saw it during the walk through online. So obviously that explained the gentlemen in the bed. Im so grateful that my child was not with me at the time of the showing, or my elderly mom who is sensitive though things like that. I still cant believe that neither Elena nor Jayson didn't give us a head up prior to the showing. After the next showing, we had questions about the other listing for sale and was considering making an offer. We never received any answers to our questions because we couldnt get a call back. We finally received a call back but still did not have our answers met and which, in my opinion, is unprofessional. We slept on it. We weighed out or options and decided even how crazy it seems to go with the first house as the second house we were afraid of a fire and trying to get out down the 1 lane road. We figured we would have to put quite a bit of money into the first house and just hope that the gentleman in the bed would rest at peace but not continue to reside in the house. We got in contact with Jayson and made what we thought was a decent offer considering the circumstances. And received an email offer is received. Never heard back from Jayson or Elena after that. My Realtor left voicemails and emails and they refused to respond to any as days went by. We explained to our Realtor that we would counter if needed. This firm refused to reply back to us. Not just for the first house but also the second house that my family were interested in. I have purchased plenty of properties in the past and have worked with quite a few realtors and have never been so unprofessionally treated by any other firm. Who doesn't reply or care enough to answer their phones to potential clients who are interested in purchasing homes in that area. I feel the entire process was unprofessional and unethical in business stand point. So we withdrew our offer on the property from this company because of lack of communication on their part. Even the lender was shocked. However, we are now working with a new Realtor on a new property and couldn't be happier with the new experience, kindness, the response time and true professionalism from the new selling agents Realtor. I refuse to work with this Real-estate company on purchasing or selling any of my homes in the future. 2021

Jayson and his team sold our house in Scotts Valley during this unusual time of COVID-19. Even thought everyone involved had to follow the quarantine instructions, and the buyers could not even tour the house, he got it SOLD!!! Last Fall my husband was offered his dream job in San Diego, which meant we only had a small window of time to sell our home before the rush of the holiday season and his start date. We had been looking in Boulder Creek for a home for more than a year.
