We truly feel so grateful to have found Madeline Meighan and have her as our agent. We found her on a whim when we were inquiring about a listing online. There are not enough good things that my husband and I can say about Sarah Lassez from the Rahill Group. We were referred to her through a friend/realtor of mine, and from day 1, Sarah has been nothing but amazing. We recently purchased a vacation home in Big Bear, and from start to finish, Beckie Huxman from the Rahill Group was an excellent Realtor to work with. We had a great experience working with the Rahill team, especially Tarl Wood. He really helps us navigate the home buying process from start to finish. We knew we wanted to purchase a place in Big Bear but not living in the area we didnt know much about the different neighborhoods. I assume, like most in our situation, we started the process by looking at places online and basing likes and dislikes only on the information in the listing. The process of buying a house is probably one of the craziest, most stressful, and most complicated out there. I cannot thank Kurtis and team Rahill enough for helping us through it.
As first time buyers we were confused and afraid of making the wrong decision. We looked at over 15 houses all across town and put offers on three. Kurtis was so knowledgeable about each property we visited and knew all the different neighborhoods. He asked us so many questions so he knew which properties would be better for us and prioritized them to help narrow our choices.
We fell in love with the first property although it wasnt what we initially wanted, Kurtis began the process for us anyways and was so so understanding and helpful when we decided to back out. I am writing this review on behalf of my wife and our 2 sons. I sent an inquiry e-mail about looking at cabins in Big Bear in February of 2016. Brian Atkins responded and agreed to meet my wife and I to show us around on a weekend.
We did that on a few occasions, sometimes my wife and I went alone, other times we took our sons. Brian was always super helpful and really wanted us to find something that was right for us.
We finally found something and made an offer that was accepted. The real work was just beginning. Brian is a real estate agent, but he did so much more. He acted on our behalf and fought for us to be treated fairly in the process. Many of the things he accomplished were outside of the duties he is paid to do.
Our purchase was not easy. In fact, it may be one of legendary proportions. None of it had one single thing to with Brian or his company. It was all lender based. Brian went so far out of his way, it's almost unbelievable. He made and took phone calls for us and to us before hours, after hours on weekends...he never said he was too busy or never said no. He actually cared. That's so hard to find today.
When the house finally closed, he met us to give us the keys on Father's Day!. He has his own kids. I respect that, my whole family does. When we got to the house, we had locks that we couldn't find keys to. Brian drove out there and cut the locks for us. Who does that? Brian Atkins does.

I want to give props to Cory Norton - he is a great agent and a good guy! I was looking at Big Bear house listings and had a question about one of them. After submitting question, I got call from Cory (10 minutes after submitting it on Sunday afternoon), and he won me over being friendly and providing all the information we needed. His big prop is that he's local and grew up and lived in Big Bear most of the time. In addition to that, Cory used to be a firefighter. That helped me to make a decision to start working with Cory and Rahill Tem. Cory took time to learn about me and my wife and what we're looking for and sent us listings matching our search criteria. When we selected several houses we wanted to look at, Cory booked half of the day to drive us around and show those houses. He provided his honest opinion and information about neighborhood but never was pushy or tried to convince us on something we didn't like or couldn't afford. We found our perfect house on that trip and decided to buy 2 month earlier than we initially were going to. Cory was helpful and supportive through the escrow process that was new to us as first time home buyers. He and his team took care of all documentation, inspection and negotiations on repairs. Paperwork was all electronic and straight forward, and Cory provided explanation for things I didn't fully understand. We closed on the house in time and currently over the roof excited to move in and enjoy our new house. When my wife, Shannon and I decided to start looking for some real estate in Big Bear, we decided to look for an agent before looking for property, we viewed this as similar to looking for the best Dr. before deciding on a medical procedure or something. We spent a couple of weeks looking over all the options and reading as much as we could about different agents and we even called different property management companies to see who they suggest we talk to. Well, I got this itch to buy a cabin in Big Bear. So I didn't know anything about Big Bear besides the fact that it snows has a lake and it is on top of a mountain. After being 24 days in escrow the lender we had wasn't able to perform with the loan because of many complications with our employment and bank account movements, Mario instead of making us feel that all doors were closed recommended us to a different lender who ended up helping us funding the loan. Mario also kept us updated at all times, he also did all he could so the listing agent didn't cancel on us because all contingencies were due long time ago. Mario also was there when we signed escrow papers and was available to explain all documents we had questions about. We had been shopping for a cabin in the Big Bear area for over a year. At one point, we became frustrated and gave up. Part of the reason for that was agents that could do little more than what I could do by looking on line on Zillow or Realtor.com. My husband and I decided to pack up and move to Big Bear full-time after being city folk our whole lives. Our Relator, Jonathan Vasquez provided excellent service. At first contact he provided excellent information on his qualifications and a complete review of his real estate team. He kept me well informed on my options as the process progressed. At one point, when there was too much snow for the termite inspector to be able to properly, Jonathan provided me with the contact info. of people who could shovel the snow. I called one who agreed to do the shoveling that was necessary, however the worker only cleared one of the three areas needed to be cleared. Jonathan actually shoveled the other two areas himself. Later, he convinced the original worker to not charge me for the one area that he had done since he had not provided the promised service. Jonathan had also bought the straps that were required to secure the water heater tank to bring it to code and installed them himself. Being close to my 74th birthday, over those many years I have done 14 real estate transactions in the past and Jonathan is by far the best real estate agent I have ever worked with. The property sold is in Calif. and I live in Nev., and I did not feel at a disadvantage at any time during the transaction. Brian Atkins at Team Rahill was a huge asset for us when it came to finding a vacation getaway we love in Big Bear Lake! He spent time with us prior to going out so we could look at listings and he could really get a feel of what we were looking for. Then he put together a list of things to see and was patient and accommodating with us and our schedule, taking us out on several occasions (often over the weekends) to see properties, always taking time to explain the different areas and possible pros and cons of places we saw.

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife and our 2 sons. I sent an inquiry e-mail about looking at cabins in Big Bear in February of 2016. Brian Atkins responded and agreed to meet my wife and I to show us around on a weekend.
We did that on a few occasions, sometimes my wife and I went alone, other times we took our sons. Brian was always super helpful and really wanted us to find something that was right for us.
We finally found something and made an offer that was accepted. The real work was just beginning. Brian is a real estate agent, but he did so much more. He acted on our behalf and fought for us to be treated fairly in the process. Many of the things he accomplished were outside of the duties he is paid to do.
Our purchase was not easy. In fact, it may be one of legendary proportions. None of it had one single thing to with Brian or his company. It was all lender based. Brian went so far out of his way, it's almost unbelievable. He made and took phone calls for us and to us before hours, after hours on weekends...he never said he was too busy or never said no. He actually cared. That's so hard to find today.
When the house finally closed, he met us to give us the keys on Father's Day!. He has his own kids. I respect that, my whole family does. When we got to the house, we had locks that we couldn't find keys to. Brian drove out there and cut the locks for us. Who does that? Brian Atkins does.

I really enjoyed working with Brian Atkins. My fianc and I were looking for a vacation home and after searching the internet,( we didn't know the area nor did we know anyone who lived/worked there) we stumbled across Brian. He responded immediately and let us know he grew up in Big Bear and had worked in the industry for multiple years. Upon viewing a few homes, he shared he had previous experience in construction, so he was able to steer us away from a few bad investments based on poor quality of the work done on the house.
