This is kind of a long story but it will hopefully be helpful to you in deciding upon an agent to represent you. We met Dan when we called him with questions about property on which he represented the seller. It quickly became apparent that the property we called about was not for us. Dan asked what we were looking for. We gave him some parameters. He offered to send us some photos of properties we might like. n nWe received the photos within 10 min. There were some promising candidates that we had not seen before. Dan suggested that we tour the area and look at the properties. We arranged to meet at 12 noon the following day. n nDan had a tour arranged for several of the most promising properties. We took the tour and found after visiting several properties our dream cabin. We made an offer that afternoon. n nWhat followed was a real estate transaction experience filled with ups and downs. During some of the downs it looked like the deal would fall apart. There were problems over the price, the sale of furnishings, termites, and fire insurance. Through it all Dan was levelheaded, patient, and relentless. n nI was an attorney for over 20 years and I know what It means to act as a fiduciary for a client. Dan always put our interests first. We never felt Dan was taking advantage of us. Dan's reponsiveness was first rate. When someone needed to open the house for a workman, Dan was there. n nIn negotiations over price, Dan did well for us. After initial offers and counteroffers, the seller made an offer in what we had told Dan was in our acceptable range. Dan did not recommend that we jump and accept. He thought that we should make another counter to smoke out a better price. We then made the counter and got what we felt was the best price. n nA good agent, like a good attorney or surgeon can make the difference between achieving a successful or mediocre outcome. Dan is one of the best .
