Our situation was unique, though, and we bought a new build that was already finished. I found the neighborhood on my own search. The house we wanted wasn't available (as told by the builder), but a more expensive one was. There wasn't a whole lot of "negotiation" as the builder wanted to off-load this house from their tax rolls, so they offered us good incentives to use their lender and close quickly. Initially, we kind of felt like we fought our own battles with lender, builder, etc... Where Lisa/Mike really became ESSENTIAL was when things started falling apart with the lender and builder. They've been responsive to calls, emails, texts - and her industry experience helped make the deal actually happen. Without their knowledge of the industry, I don't think we would be in the house today. 2020
