Christopher, a buyer from San Antonio, TX
Let me start off by saying, I do NOT give 5 star reviews out lightly. If you are looking for or selling a home in San Antonio, and Dixie is not your agent, especially if you are using a VA loan, you are only hurting yourself. Dixie is absolutely fantastic. She not only helped me buy a house as a first time buyer with a VA loan, all the while answering my 1023837 questions without missing a beat, but she was my listing agent when it was time to sell the house as a first time seller, and asking her 9873 questions that time. When buying, and me being new to the area, she was not hesitant to tell me which neighborhoods I should be looking in, and which ones I shouldn't. She has lived in San Antonio for many years and knows crime statistics and school district data off the top of her head. There was one house I was fixated on in a not great area, and I was willing to make a same day offer. Dixie was quick to tell me no, which I know now, saved me a ton of frustration during resell, and possibly during ownership. Find another agent who would do that for a client, I'll wait.... YOU WONT! She puts her people before the sale, and was more concerned with me being in a safe neighborhood than collecting an easy paycheck. She also has great relationships with other service providers that you will need during the process, like home inspectors and loan officers. The home inspector she recommended did an unbelievable job, literally finding 30 pages of issues (minor, but still) which helped us get the price down even more. She is also VERY knowledgeable with how VA loans work, and what inspections need done, and takes the reins on getting everything scheduled. When it was time to sell, she was realistic and fair in pricing and explained to me why selling for X amount was a good Idea. Her idea was so great in fact, that we had 5 offers in 24 hours, 3 of which were over asking price!!! We had a nice profit because of her, despite only owning the home for 2 years.
