Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted some research to see who would be the best choice based on the experience and recommendation of friends. The REMAX Real Estate Team and Jo Jenkins in particular stood out as the best Newton has to offer.
We bought our home in Newton 11 years ago in anticipation of retirement, but through unforeseen circumstances, now was the time to go back to Minnesota. It was a bit hectic and perhaps even traumatic to leave our beautiful home, and leaning on Jo during this transition sure made it a lot less stressful to say the least!
I contacted Jo with the request for a market analysis, and within 72 hours met with her at our home. She was thoroughly prepared and spent hours answering my questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes she sold, how long the listings typically was on the market, and providing tons of info on comps in the area. I was concerned that our house would be tough to sell. Jo made the process incredibly easy and gave me many helpful suggestions along the way. She was always calm, responsive right from the start, listening to my every request for information.
Throughout the past several months, Jo has been there every step of the way, dealing with other parties (attorney, inspectors, etc.) and taking care of and attending the closing for me. Her professionalism, mentorship, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic are much respected and appreciated.
I highly recommend Jo Jenkins to everyone. She's a true professional and a genuinely nice person. I realize it won't always be easy to sell your home, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better Realtor.
