I deeply regret hiring Cindy Royall Libonati at Sothebys as the realtor to sell my childhood home. During the months of working with her, I felt disrespected, unheard, uninformed, ignored, manipulated, unprotected and endlessly frustrated by her empty words and unprofessional manner. Cindy advertises she has 46 years of experience and repeats phrases like, Im here to serve you, but her behavior displayed an amateurish and self-focused approach that repeatedly shocked me. I found Cindy to be great at networking and boasting, but not at listening and working hard. I felt repeatedly pushed to do what she wanted vs. what I desired as a seller. I spent countless hours doing the work myself that I was paying her to do including writing my own house description after she wrote the worst house description Ive ever read. She cancelled open houses without telling me, disregarded strategies we had agreed upon, and kept trying to wrap up our case quickly at immense financial expense to us. Cindy did not give the time, care and attention needed to truly know our property and maximize our profit. She seemed much more focused on the quantity of houses she sold over doing a quality job for her clients. In the end, I simply could not trust her to operate in my best interest, which was extremely disappointing and unexpected, especially for the Sothebys brand. Working with Cindy was the single most stressful, exhausting and frustrating experience of my entire year. I feel compelled to warn others who desire to have a positive, peaceful and client-centered experience selling their home. 2023
