It all started out as my husband and I dreaming and looking at houses for sale in Iowa one evening in Winter. We were interested in a house that we saw that was 700 miles away. Alexis from BH&GR answered our call. She has been a God-send! I know she works out of the Central Iowa area, but we were looking all over the whole State for our perfect house. She was a fantastic listener. She gave me listings that matched our criteria even out of her area. I brought her listing after listing and asked for disclosure after disclosure. She was communicative and prompt whether through text, email or phone call. She gave us advice when needed and answered a billizion of our questions as she is knowledgeable obviously passionate about what she does. After a couple months of exclusively looking online for a house, we ended up traveling 700 miles to Northwestern Iowa to look at a house. Alexis interviewed a Realtor in that area and setup a showing for us. We then met her in Central Iowa to look at another house. We ended up putting in an offer on the house in Northwest Iowa and had her write it up. Unfortunately, the seller decided to not sell after all, and we were back to square one. A few weeks later, we found a house that we knew we wanted in Southwest Iowa. It was for sale by owner. We put in an offer sight unseen. Alexis wrote up the offer for us and it was accepted. We drove out a couple weeks later to see the house we were going to buy. It was perfect! Everything went seamless. I wish she was licensed in the State that we sold our house in so she could have sold our house. She went the extra mile for us because we had a sub-adequate experience with our selling Realtor. Alexis helped us through a stressful situation and gave us piece of mind when our selling Realtor was indecisive. She was not able to make it to our closing because she was having a baby, so another friendly agent from BH&GR named Shelby filled in for her. Through our home buying journey, she was not just our Realtor that answered the phone that one winter's night. She has become so much more-- she has become a friend.
