Daren came recommended through my aunt, who had known him for many years. I had contracted with another agent for a different property, but she asked me to call him for my father's main home. We met at the house the next night. He went through the house, then we sat down at the kitchen table. He detailed what we could do to the house to improve its marketability, then came out with the analysis of the neighborhood, what the comps sold for, and WHY.
That essentially, if the house was fixed up, we could sell it for that, but if we wanted to list it for lower and allow the buyer to make those changes themselves, he could sell it that weekend (this was a Tuesday). Being my late father's house we had no need to sink money in for a potential higher price, so he set up the open house. That weekend we had I believe three offers. The first was the closest to asking, and after a brief negotiation, we accepted.

Don Swinney did great job in helping sell property during extremely busy real estate market. The number of requests to look at the property far exceeded the our ability to show it to that many people. The property was basically sold within a week with best and final offer on Feb 14 after actually showing it to only about 15 people. The final sale price also exceeded the asking price beyond our expectations. Property was a single family home converted to a 3 unit rental many years ago which made it a one of a kind on the market at that time. True, it was a seller's market but he still got us about $20K more than the buyer that a competing agent was offering prior to us signing with Daren. I typically do not give perfect ratings, but I believe that Darren and our realtor Tracy Aslanian truly deserve it. While searching for our first home, my wife and I knew little about the process and what to expect.
First, we were not pressured in any way to buy any house. We started looking in November, and we saw about 30 houses over a 6 month stretch and at no time were we pressured to buy.
Second, Tracy was always available for us when we needed her. Not only was she there to see/look at houses, but to give professional and home owner advice. It was reassuring to know she was there for us whenever we needed her.
Lastly, when our eventual home came up on the market, she made sure we saw it before the open house which helped us immensely in the buying process.
