When Jared visited the house for a close look, he showed his knowledge and appreciation of 1950s homes, their construction, etc. When I told Jared that I was down to 2 brokers, Jared and another, he provided additional helpful information and displayed further knowledge and appreciation of the type of modest house I had and its neighborhood that tipped the balance in his favor. He provided comparison information from similar homes and neighborhoods. He and the other broker identified similar problems with the house, but had different ways to deal with them. Both had similar sales strategies, but I felt Jared's was more realistic.

For instance, we were unable to travel to Ames in person for a visit, so he offered to take us on a video tour. His video tour was almost just as good as an in-person visit.
