Ed & Megan McBride, a seller from Wabasha, MN Expectations are a funny thing. When it comes to selling or buying a home one has expectations based on what they know. But what do we really know about buying and selling homes when its not something that we do everyday?
This is where Jewson Properties came into play. We literally walked in blind and unsure of what we could get for our house and what we could afford in terms of buying a new one.
Jay and Bree Jewson did a full assessment of our ability to move into town by looking at what our current home was worth, projecting how and when it would sell what we could possibly put down on a new home.
They took the time to walk through our home and helped us figure out what needed to be fixed, what needed to be replaced, and an estimate of what all that would entail financially. We took their advice (I cant stress enough to you how important this was) and the house went on the market.
Hours later, we had multiple offers. This is when the expertise of this duo really came to life. What do you accept, what do you counter with, what kind of details through the negotiation process are important, all of these things taken care of by two professionals, what a joy to witness. Of course, we couldnt have known for sure that we would get the best possible outcome, but we knew that it was possible based on the projections that they gave us going into the process. Well, the end result was exactly that, more than we were asking and more than we couldve hoped for.
At the same time, on the other end was the purchase of our new home, a delicate situation dealing with an estate and multiple owners of a home that they all grew up in. Jay and Bree handled this so delicately and with the type of empathy that you just dont see anywhere these days. We ended up closing on our new home the same day that we sold our old home, a process that was made so easy that it was easy to forget how much time and effort went into it.
The moving parts were many, the conversations plentiful, and the phone calls and emails too many to count. There was never a phone call or email not returned, sometimes the reply would arrive within seconds. There was never a question that was asked where we were made to feel dumb for asking, and there was never a moment when they wouldnt take time out of their day to reassure us that everything was going to be okay.
We will never buy or sell a home again without the help of Jewson Properties. They are the professionals you expect with the small town intimacy that you can only hope for. Thank you, Jay and Bree!

We have bought and sold quite a few houses over the years, and worked with different agents. But in the end, we've chosen Jewson properties as our go-to agency. Their knowledge, professionalism, ease of process, and friendly demeanor have kept us coming back. Next time we're looking to buy or sell again, we'll be looking Jay up as our representative.
