There was certainly no professionalism with Mark Spain Real estate. It was unprofessional and unethical. The conduct of the realtor and broker should embarrass Mark Spain himself, as I have texts and emails that are just horrible. Upper management does not appear to hold accountability to the employees as well. Wanting me to sign a fraudulent document, saying that myself and a large middle Tennessee bank were committing loan fraud, the list goes on. This is certainly not a company you want to do business with, and the lack of communication and complete disregard for the buyer is pathetic. What a horrible experience. I'd love the opportunity to speak with Mark Spain directly, as I'm sure he'd be embarrassed by the conduct his employees represent, which backs HIS name. 2023
I am honestly surprised by all these positive reviews on Mark Spain's company. My experience is they are completely unprofessional and useless to deal with. I spent several hours and hundreds of dollars on inspecting a house during due diligence and getting a due diligence list to them for negotiations. THEY JUST COMPLETELY BLEW IT OFF. No counter offer. No negotiations. No feedback at all. Radio silence.

My agent was Joe Hockaday with Mark Spain Real Estate, and swear to you I hit the jackpot when he was assigned to my difficult relocation (closing the Friday before Christmas). Joe is hands down the best agent I have had the pleasure of doing business with throughout 5 sales, and 5 purchases in my lifetime. My situation was time critical, and extremely difficult with a relocation from Texas. There is without question no one that could have did a better job for me than Joe. Her years of experience and discerning mind had prepared her to adeptly evaluate what she and I each needed to do to make this the least stressful and best possible experience for me (and, indeed, it was). Clearly, she operates at the top of her game and can pay attention to every detail like a well oiled machine, with no contingency likely to throw her for a loop. Still, she has the zeal and responsiveness of a beginning agent. I never got the feeling that this was just a job for her or that she was any less committed than when she approached her first client.

I have given Mark Spain's group many opportunities to make things right before writing this bad review. After one of their agents, Preston Mitchell, was clearly negligent in fulfilling his duties as our agent, we ended up having to put in thousands of dollars to correct problems that were discovered with our house. Some of those problem were found during the inspection and were already agreed to be fixed by the seller. Preston assured my husband and I all was taken care of correctly before closing and we chose to trust him. After closing on the house it was clear certain things were not taken care of like Preston had promised. Mark Spain's group said it was a good "training opportunity" for Preston and only agreed to compensate us a minimal amount for our losses. However, after having agreed to pay us this small amount of money they will no longer return my phone calls or emails. I have gone as far up in management as they will allow me to go. This is not just an agent problem, but clearly a problem with the company. I am simply trying to get the money they agreed to pay me, but now they are completely ignoring me, so I'm assuming my husband and I will end up with no compensation at all. Please do not use Mark Spain, or Preston Mitchell, for any of your real estate transactions. We would have been better served to have not had a real estate agent at all. Using them cost us tens of thousands of dollars. 2015

I had excellent service from Austin Brown (part of their team) on a difficult "as-is" Estate home sale with an FHA & VA "dream program" buyer. Not to mention, the seller (me) was based out-of-state and had to do everything from afar. I don't know if it can get much more challenging than that. I was prompted to call Mark Spain after seeing a commercial during the morning news. I must admit, I was pretty skeptical. The home I wanted to sell was in an area were property values had dropped significantly since I purchased it in 2006. Prices were rising again, albeit slowly. I sent an email before I went to bed on evening. At about 8 AM the following morning, I received a call back to set an appointment with, Audrianna.
I was immediately impressed with Audrianna. She explained the entire process and marketing plan to sell my home sold. She came well prepared with comparables which helped me select a list price that was the "sweet spot".
My listing went live on 1/14/2016. Within hours, there were 5-10 showings scheduled for the next 4 days. By 1/19/2016, there were 3-5 solid offers for my home. After selecting the best offer, my home was under contract on 1/21/2016. The sale closed on 3/2/2016.
