.Guthrie County is a historical gem located in the great state of Iowa. Established on January 15, 1851, it was named in honor of Edwin B. Guthrie, an Iowa Supreme Court Justice who was an influential figure at the time. The county has a rich agricultural heritage, with fertile farmland supporting its economy for generations. Guthrie County's seat is Guthrie Center, which was founded in 1856 by Captain Alfred Blake.
