Debbie Holmes moto is "I don't just sell real estate, I sell a way of life" which comes from a lifetime of experience with the downeast Maine lifestyle. Debbie started in the real estate business in 1996 while managing the Mom & Pop store she and her husband Bill owned. She worked her way from sales agent to associate broker to achieving her broker license in 2000. She opened Bold Coast Realty the following year and joined the United Country Real Estate family in 2006. As a native Mainer, Debbie has been sharing her knowledge of small town coastal living for over 25 years, first in her store and then in real estate. She is committed to providing her clients and customers with individualized service; sharing with them her knowledge of the area and the processes needed to achieve their real estate goals.
Debbie received The Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) from the National Association of Realtors, this is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. Debbie has served in numerous capacities on the local Board of REALTORS and was voted REALTOR of the year in 2007.
Debbie excels in residential and vacant land sales along the Maine Coast. Within these special property types she specializes in the second home market as well as helping first time home buyers realize there dream of owning a piece of Maine. For those interested in creating their own vision on vacant land in the country, on the Atlantic Ocean or on any of the many lakes, rivers or streams of eastern Maine, Debbie's working knowledge of local rules, regulations and zoning will help bring those goals to fruition. Debbie and Bill reside in Lubec on one of the inner tidal bays. She is active in the Lions Club holding the position of Past President and currently Secretary. She is a member of the Lubec and Trescott Historical Societies and serves on numerous town committees including the most recent Lubec Comprehensive Planning Committee and the Downtown Revitalization Committee. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys time with family, sewing, gardening and genealogy
