Livingston County is a county located in the southeastern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, United States. It was founded in 1833 and named after Edward Livingston, a prominent politician and statesman who served as Secretary of State under President Andrew Jackson.

The county's early economy was based on agriculture and milling, and it later became a center of manufacturing and automotive production in the 20th century.

One fun fact about Livingston County is that it is home to the Hell Creek Ranch, which is located in the village of Hell and is known for its unique name and spooky atmosphere. The ranch offers horseback riding and other outdoor activities, and it hosts an annual "Hell Survivors" paintball tournament, which attracts participants from around the world.
