Who would have thought that this Athens native would have found her passion right here at home?

The Early Years

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Ohio University and had the good fortune to work as a Resident Assistant for three years of college. Building a community out of a group of randomly-assorted undergraduate students was such fun that I decided to spend all four years of my college experience administering to the needs of students as they transitioned from home life, to college, then out into the real world. Having been born and raised in Athens County, I knew without question that this lovely town was the place for me. So, after graduation I leaped into the field of property management at a local apartment community. During my time in this field, I purchased my first home from Liz Maule, which sparked my interest in real estate and the process of helping others find and buy their ideal home. Shortly thereafter I obtained my Real Estate Sales license and have been selling ever since.

Learning by Example

I am intensely proud of my fathers military service in Vietnam in the late sixties. He returned from service as a decorated veteran and took up the family business at Rapps Wallpaper and Paint on Palmer Street. The old building was torn down a few years ago, but his example of hard work and excellent customer service still resonates within me and the many other devotees of Dad and Papaws store. I put that good old-fashioned elbow grease and loyalty into all of my client relationships.

Today, my husbands military involvement has given me a new perspective on the challenges military families can face at home. Relocating for any job can be a difficult endeavor and our servicemen and servicewomen take on that burden; often numerous times! Regardless of your branch or length of service, you are eligible for incredible benefits in financing and property insurance. Not to mention, you deserve the services of a professional to find you a comfortable home while youre in the area, and to help you market and sell your home when duty calls you away.

Local Foodie & Adventurer

From bacon to bricks, from milk to music, our region is chock full of goodness. I take pride supporting our local economy through my food and business choices, including the Athens Farmers Market, Snowville Creamery, Jackie Os, Zoe Fine Dining, Casa Nueva, Tiny Spaces Dance Company, Restaurant Salaam, Star of India, Space Cadet Soaps, and the list goes on and on!
I love the outdoors and spend as much of my time as I can spare hiking, swimming, and having adventures! I feel lucky to live in an area where I can drive about 10 minutes in any direction and find myself in woods or pastures. Strouds Run offers the best local hiking and swimming you can get, but I am not averse to traveling up through the Hocking Hills or into Kentucky for new experiences. This Fall my boyfriend Eric and I journeyed to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky to explore the regions natural wonders. You get a new perspective crawling on your belly beneath 300 feet of centuries-old limestone formations! The adventures continue in my own backyard; in the last year we have build raised beds for gardens in our front yard, and joined the National Arbor Day Foundation to plant fruit trees around our home.
