1. Roslyn is a small village in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, located in the Kittitas Valley.

2. The town was founded in 1886 by coal miners from Scotland and Wales, and was named after Roslyn, Scotland.

3. Roslyn is most famous for being the setting for the TV show Northern Exposure, which ran from 1990 to 1995.

4. The town has a long history of coal mining and is home to the oldest continually operating coal mine in the United States, which opened in 1882.
