Sells is actually the capital of the Tohono O'odham Nation, a Native American tribe. It has a population of about 2,500 people and is located in the southwestern part of Arizona, about 60 miles west of Tucson. The economy here is heavily based on agriculture and tourism, and the Tohono O'odham Nation employs many of the village's residents. Sells is also known for its annual All-Indian Rodeo, which draws visitors from all over the country. The area surrounding Sells is home to some of the most stunning natural beauty in Arizona, including the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and the Kitt Peak National Observatory.
