According to the 2010 census, Reddell had a population of just 357 people.
- The village is located in the central part of Evangeline Parish and is less than 15 miles north of the town of Ville Platte.
- Reddell was originally called "Cherry Creek" after a nearby stream, but was renamed in 1916 for Joseph J. Reddell, who served as the first postmaster of the community.
- Agriculture is a major industry in the area, with rice, soybeans, and cattle being some of the main crops produced.
- The village is served by the Evangeline Parish School Board, although there are no schools located within Reddell itself.
