Bass River State Forest is the largest single tract of land in the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve, and is located within the village of Bass River. The forest consists of over 18,000 acres of pitch pine and Atlantic white cedar trees, and is home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, ospreys, and foxes.
